When I have run the last few updates (through 3.2.3.2b) over my older N
Please forgive me if this has been mentioned before:
Nero 7 version (whether updated automatically or via downloading the update manually), the update process starts, decompresses the update files, and then says that I am missing a "nero.msi" file in a Windows temporary folder. If I navigate to the temp folder that contains the nero.msi from the update, I am informed that the nero.msi is the wrong version (or something along that line).
Since this problem does not occur if I first uninstall my old version of Nero 7, I have assumed that Nero 7's update program must looks for the Nero uninstall routine of the currently installed version in the Nero temp install folder for the currently installed version of Nero 7. Am I correct? If I am correct, why does Nero 7 update look in the temp folder for uninstall routines, when the "Add or Remove Programs" applet uninstalls Nero just fine without referring to temporary files (which I routinely delete)? Temporary files and temporary folder should be just that - temporary.
