Which brand did this "TYG02" disc come from?

Take a guess :P

keep in mind that the disc is a little scratched/dirty so the PIF total would likely be much lower if it was pristine

Sky?
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie

Maxell? Or is it a cheap-o brand one would not normally associate with TY?

So...fake MID? Not a bad burn, considering...I need some cheap-o DVDs for when I burn discs for friends...something like this would be usefull if it could be burned at 16x...

Of course, I don't care if it lasts or not...

MY stuffs on MCC/real TYs :)

Yeah, fake. And it's likely it won't fair half bad in the long run, because A Grade Optodisc has a decent track record for lifespan. I think it's Optodisc's 8X DVD-R got either "+" or "++" for climatic stability in C'ts tests.
