If you missed it, ASUS is demonstrating their new LightScribe capable DVD writer, the DRW-1612BL, at Computex. According to this it supports LightScribe and 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD±R DL and 12x DVD-RAM writing speeds.

At first I thought this might be a new Pioneer drive as ASUS has been using them as an OEM for ages. Then I looked at the name: DRW-1612BL. I'm guessing L stands for LightScribe, but B is for.. BenQ? All of the Pioneer based drives have ended with a P.
Thoughts? Speculation?
