The rebate comes on a sticker on the Nero packaging, so if you're able to make another store's CSR understand that CompUSA's out the door price is $40 you might still be able to get it. I'd think with some persistence (and a CSR with more than 2 brain cells) you could get this.

I'm thinking this might be a price drop for Nero? CompUSA shows $39.99 as their 'regular' price now. Normally when they do specials it does show the original full price minus some instant savings.

Rebate form is available at http://image.compusa.com/pdfs/0018679.pdf (it looks like the full form you get on the Nero box to me) Expires 4/15/06 so that may be of a concern.

Basically, title page of any previous burning app.. it's got a pretty wide spectrum listed..
