droppix any good?

Postby seanc on Tue Feb 07, 2006 7:44 am

I've started to think that nero (at 100+ meg) is bloated. Is Droppix any good? Is it a nice 10 or so meg download like Nero used to be? Is it kept up to date? If anyone has used it I'd appreciate a little insight.

If not Nero, what else do you like? I'm looking to burn data & audio cd's & data dvd's.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have written to droppix once and I got a reply really fast! but I haven't tried the product myself.

I use CopyToDVD and it is burning software (not copy software) doing such things as you mentioned burn data, audio CDs/DVD, and video to DVD

CopytoDVD is at 6.0 Mb. I know a new version will be out soon 4.0 in say a month or two.

I've used the demo a few times so far. It works nicely, also has Light scribe support built in.
the layout and use is pretty easy once you figure it out but I don't think it has all the advanced functions like Nero has but it will copy and do many things like labels nicely. I haven't gone through all of it but that's what I've seen, I may have missed some goodies.
