I on the other hand prefer BenQ to LG any day (well... LG's got the whole DVD-RAM thing down pat, but other then that).

BenQ drives offer incredible media support (Not including the DQ60, which is only just TECHNICALLY a BenQ drive), offer nifty extra software that's almost on par with Plextor's PlexTools. And the media testing functionality can be extremely useful.

I like LG drives but the 4166 has some issues that need to be worked out. LG's hesitation to release firmware updates for the drive isn't making me feel any better about the drive.

And maybe that's the exact problem it has. THe nexperia chipsets drives were mostly designed by Philips.

We'll just havr to see what the DW1670 offers I guess. It'll be interesting to see if it's still running the Nexperia chipset, or if they've switched a new supplier. I'm hoping it's still Nexperia!
