How does this work? I put an 80m blank in the drive and it wrote "info" only until 74 minutes (it wouldn't let me change the capacity!) and then when it was done, I did run test and I just got an error message. I don't want to ruin a bunch of blanks trying to figure this out.

YOu can use CD-RW media for the test so as to not waste any media.

What error message did you get? Sounds like you took the correct steps.
