CDRLabs Is From... Europe?

I got my retail DW1655 today and BenQ was good enough to put our Editor's Choice award on the box. For whatever reason though, they think we're from Europe (we're from North America).

I have to give them credit though. At least they didn't cover the box with bogus awards from publications like PC Magazine.

I think it could be confusing for some people when rewards for one product are placed on packaging for another product.

The first (logical) impression is that the rewards are for the product that is actually in the box. Not everyone would read small "DW1640" letters under the reward and deduce that the reward is for something else, and not for what's inside. Many retail buyers wouldn't really know or care about the model number.

Something similar is done for software reawards on software makers' websites, but at least the average person visiting such site would be more educated/knowlegable about software version numbers.

Other than that, I am really happy CDRLabs is featured on the Benq retail box !

They were going to put my "Digital Dolphin Friendly" award on the box also.... but I couldn't get my graphic artist to make a high res version in time (he's lazy!).
