That's an excellent deal! Since it's one of the only ways to get an excellent above average drive, quite wisely OEM'd by Plextor. You can even flash it to a BenQ DW1640 and get even better firmware and software support

Too bad it's nearly impossible to get BenQ DW1640's these days when they aren't sold as other brand name OEM's.

Some people in another forum claim that they have bought this drive from BB and drive comes even with 20 D/L which is quite questionable since the price of 20 D/L DVD+/-R is atleast $60-$80.

Yes, that's what the ad showed but my local BB had a correction on the shelf next to the drives. The correction stated that the disks are single layer TDK's.
