Yeah, they are very similar. I did notice that they added a few writing speeds to the PX-755A. I'm not sure if they were missing from the PX-760A specs or what.

Living up to my custom title: heise has a short note on this. Apparently the 760 has been put on ice because the writing quality with "currently available media" doesn't meet expectations. The PX-755A, which will be available shortly, is essentially a throttled-down PX-760A.

Yep, I've heard the same thing. It's due to TY's 16x media sucking so badly.
