The PX-750A looks like it has a lot of the same writing quality issues as the TEAC DV-W516E. The results with TY -R media look horrible.

And jitter was 14% on the first layer of a MKM 003 disc for the 750, 8x burn. But burning at 6x gave very good results.

Well I guess I'll not be trying one of those out for a while. My 1640 does very well to at least acceptable with most any media, good or crappy, and sometimes at 2 or 3 times rated speed.
I would like RAM though as my Panasonic settop dvd/hd machine supports it.

The TYG02 looked fine to me...

Err.. yeah, I was looking at the scans for his 2x burns. They're alright at higher speeds.
