Does Firefox have these features?

Postby bimbla on Wed Sep 21, 2005 10:51 am

1. With Firefox, can we save a web page on the computer as a single file, like .mht in IE?

2. Does Norton Password manager 'attach' itself to web pages opened from FireFox?

Thanks and regards,

bimbla.

1/ Like all other features that people want with FireFox, if it isn't available in FF itself, then it's available as an extension. ;) Sorry, I can't remember the name of it, but I know that one does exist for this.

2/ No idea. Probably depends on whether or not Norton tailored it so that it will explicitly support FF.

do you mean .htm (or .html) ?
if so, yes.
File -> Save Page As (Ctrl-S)
then, in the 'Save as type' pull-down, select 'Web Page, complete'.
doesn't alsways work perfect though (for instance CDRLabs home page).

I ment Web archive, single file (*.mht) option which saves a web page as a single file instead as a file and a folder.

well FireFox doesn't appear to have this feature.

In my opinion, Mozilla is superior to Firefox. Has all the features and plugins available that you could want.
