Best online store for DVD purchases?

Postby Justin42 on Sun Sep 11, 2005 2:15 pm

I've been looking as a good backup source for decent/good media (i.e., MIJ Taiyo Yuden) and have been looking at some of the bigger online stores (Rima, Supermediastore, Meritline, etc). I know they all have their moments of flakiness, but I vaguely remember one of them was notorious for selling fake media (I'm not accusing them of doing it knowingly but for whatever reason fake TY got into their supply chain)... #-o

Have they all gotten better at selling legitimate media? Besides price, is there one store considered head and shoulders better than the others?

Thanks for any tips. :)

I used to order a lot from Meritline but I got sick of their people spamming our forum. I now order most of my media from Rima and Newegg.

I don't buy media from Rima, because I've caught them selling B grade Optodisc as A Grade before. I don't buy from Newegg because their purchasing practices rival Walmart in cruelty and disregard for market economics, and I don't buy from Meritline because they are stupid and have a complete disregard for their customers (and also sell pretty questionable media).

But I'm in Canada anyways, so the chances of me ordering from any of them would be pretty unlikely (but not unheard of).

Actually, I *DO* order from Rima sometimes... I just ordered 10 empty cake boxes from them
