i might spring for the san diego in the near future

or just wait for amd and intel to release there yearly employee bundles

probably dual cores for both amd and intel

hox,
how do you like your Winchester 3200 ? Especially for video/encoding ?
(i don't do any gaming...)

I need to build a PC soon; my current one is PIII-450 :-?
I do not want to spend too much on CPU at this time. I was thinking between 3000+ or 3200+ to get me by until dual-cores come down in price. It seems to me that between 3000 & 3200 the price difference is much greater than performance difference (percentage-wise).
(unless I plan to OC, which I didn't decide whether I want to do...)

Or does it still make sense to fork out extra $40+ for the 3200+ ?

Well, there was no change to find SanDiego or Venice.

And the none of the hard disks were SATA-2 (NCQ), so I stick with my two Quantum with SATA to PATA converters until new drives arrive.

The K8N No4 Platinum nForce4 Ultra is a great mb :D it can have 4 raid 0 or 2 raid 0+1 drives, very impresive.

And yes when dual core comes I will hav it :P
