Verbatim 16x DVD-R Revisited

Postby jberry on Fri May 13, 2005 9:29 am

Well.....about 2 wks ago I bought real DVD-R 16x Verbatims from Blankmedia.ca.....nice company...I like them.

In any case I tried 16x with 4163b and they were good...but here is a scan from my Benq 1620 at 16x.....what do you think?

The PI/PIF rates look fine. Jitter is a little high.. but it's always high on the DW1620.

Well Benq 1620 also reports jitter a little to high when compared to CATS.

Really the scan you posted up is okay. It's good enough to use for me.

and what RJW isn't telling you is that he's probably pickier then most people

I think the scan is fine. Anything less then 12% on the jitter (as tested by the BenQ DW1620) is nothing to be TOO concerned with I don't think.
