. I hope that once things brighten up, you'll look to a shelter to rescue a homeless one to be your new friend.
Ours just had to go stay overnight to get his shots, and his huge (lynx-like) coat of fur cut for summer (I guarantee they'll need to sedate him for THAT one). He's a 20lb looks-like-something-out-of-the-Discovery-Channel animal now, and the house seems empty without him (we get him back tonight, if he'll have us after all of that). We'd miss him if he was gone for good.
