Although Optodisc has not released their 5x DVD-RAM media yet.

Optodisc site http://www.optodisc.com/v_dvd-ram.html shows 5x 9.4 Gig is out. I haven't had time to see if it's actually available for purchase.

According to Panasonic own words they do have own manufactureing facilities.
