Audio CD with multisession error?

Postby Intimidator on Sun Nov 07, 2004 6:00 pm

I was trying to make a backup copy of a CD I own to play in the car and keep the original inside. I was trying the CDRWIN 3.9f and use the Raw backup mode. I have not used any of the other options mentioned on this board. However, I get this error message that tells me it is a multisession. When looking at the tracks there are 13 red audio and one green track. I am new to this process could someone tell me if there is a better program to use?

I would like to ask the experts out there. What is the step by step process?

I also have Nero 5.5 but don't understand if this can be used or not.

Thanks!

Is the disc an audio cd with a video track at the end?

Some of my Jimmy Buffett cd's have a video track at the end.

CloneCD 4.2.0.2. can do it, so can Alcohol 120% (I believe Alcohol can). I own Nero 6, but I've never tried it with Nero.

Yes it can be done, I've done it myself. It was a few years ago now...

Yes you are correct....I have never seen an audio CD that has video files as well.

I decided to experiment so this is what I did:

1) Created an *.nrg file with Nero 5.5
2) Then I burned the *.nrg file to a CD...it worked!!!

But it took a very long time to complete.

The weird thing is that when I try to play the CD in my computer it will automatically launch the video. Is there a way around this?

Thanks

There probably is a way to stop it from playing, but you'd have to disable "Auto-insert" notification in Windows. It will stop ALL discs (audio & games etc.) from launching automatically. That may not be the intended result that you sought.
