W2K Pro and HD size

Postby Intimidator on Wed Oct 20, 2004 9:26 am

How large can a HD be on W2K Pro? Is there a limit on how big an partition can be? How does this compare to XP?

XP is built on Windows 2000 code.

The differences in partition size depends upon the file system you use.FAT32 allows partitions upto 32GB,though you can increase the size using tools like Seagate DiscWizard.NTFS has virtually no limit and you can partition a drive with about any size using NTFS.There is some upper limit though,I dont remember it.
