Another SHRINK Error

Postby TellyDSP on Tue Sep 07, 2004 7:49 pm

I worked out my last one, now here's the newest. Just randomly started, hope it's not a repost.

Failed to read file "G:\"
Overlapped l/O operation is in progress

Anyone have any idea, I could sure use the help.
BTW, not sure if it's part of the reson, but it seems to be happening on the DVD's with computer interactive sections.

TIA

Just use Nero Recode, same engine but people seem to have fewer issues with it.

Could be problems with your drive as well.

It sounds like your drive is busy...go to Device Manager and disable autorun then reboot. In Preferences->File I/O->select read 32kb blocks.
If you still can't rip the disc use DVDDecrypter in File mode.

Thanx for the info. I've tried making the changes recommended above. didn't seem to work. the part that bothers me is that it's only certain DVDs. For instance I tried to backup Kill Bill 1, and no luck, but Kill Bill 2 and another movie backed up no problem right afterwards. Then I tried KB1 again and no go. Any other ideas. could it be that the DVD's I'm trying to back up could be scrathced too badly? they're fairly new movies.

TIA

Some drives just can't rip some encrypted DVD's,my Optorite DD0203 will rip any DVD-Video disc while my BenQ DW800A won't.
As for audio CD's the BenQ rips slower even though they are both rated at 40x.This wasn't a one time deal either, the discs were in perfect condition with no scratches or fingerprints.I now use the BenQ strictly for burning.
My only other suggestion for you is update your firmware: www.rpc1.org
