Is there any way to test a cdr of a botched burn?

Postby franco on Tue Aug 31, 2004 9:48 pm

There are times when one of my burners fail to finsh a burn. it might spit it out at the beginning or near the end. One never knows whether or not the disc actually started burning. If I re-insert the disc, it will generally freeze up the burner whereas I have to do a reboot in order to eject the disc. Is there any type software that will allow you to pretest a cdr before applying it to a burner? I use TDK, & Sony burners & use Sonic & Veritas RecordNow. Thanks for any info ......

You know; I got to thinking about this query I posted and have to conclude that it was a rather stupid question!! Because; first, a cd reader has to be able to recognize a disc before any program could do it's thing. Simple as that. I must have been in a fog. #-o
