i have sonic my dvd. and it dont work.. help!!

it seemes like tis working. but when i burn a vcd. and play it anywhere. i cant click on ther button to the movie. so i cant play it.
all i get is the background and the background audio. but i cant highlight anything. and ideas?

That is part of the VCD spec-- you must use number keys to choose an entry. When you press "1" it should play the first item on your menu.
