drag & drop in Nero In CD

Postby faithfoo on Sat Jul 03, 2004 10:25 pm

1) can I confirm that DVD RAM does not have the problem/less data corruption present in packet writing for DVD RW ( and it allows drag & drop/editing within the DVD RAM )

2) whereas for dvd rw I cannot drag & drop /editing unless I use Nero In CD which has a tendency for data corruption due to packet writing softwares

3) The only option for DVD RW would be to burn data using DVD Burining ROM, Should I choose the first option dvd ( iso) or 2nd option dvd ..?

a) IF I choose finalise session .. , means I cannot come back and add files again ?

1) Yes, DVD-RAM is the safest optical media solution against data corruption.

2) This was not a question, was it?

3) Assuming that you want to backup your data, not to exchange it with non-Windows systems, choose ISO compilation.

4) Indeed, finalizing the medium will disallow you to come back and add files again, except if you erase your entire medium to start from scratch.

Use UDF 1.02, or 2.00 (DVD Form standard recommends 2.00 for DVD-RAM) - FAT is unappropriate for optical storage, more a curiosity than a real interest.

I have only options of UDF 1.5 or UDF .2.0

more than 95% of my data is microsoft office word, excel , pdf files

I confirm UDF 2.0 is suitable ?? I understand it is designed to be used with DVD Video recorders that use the DVD Forum's video recording standard and with the recording software designed for personal computers that is based on the above standard.
