DVD building. Need help and some explanations.

I had my first DVD burner this week and now I am trying this.

I got a few Divx I wish to convert to DVD.

I use for now Roxio DVD builder. Each Divx Movies were about 110 megs each.

To my surprise, when I add a movie in the builder, it raise up to 1,5G each!! making only 3 divx to full the DVD.

I know there's an option to lower the quality but I am not sure about the results. Very skeptical. Especially when Divx are already compressed format with loss, recompressing it again makes me worry.

Any advices or better program to do this?

you can compress it, does it give an option to save in dvd files on hard drive?

if so compress it and build it, then play the files back in power dvd or any other dvd playback software

it will allow you to check quality before you burn
