Burning ROM , multi session

Postby faithfoo on Wed Jun 23, 2004 4:58 am

This question refers to do drag and drop writing (utilize burner like a hard disk/diskette) on DVD RW & DVD RAM ( i am using LG 4082 writer )

which NERO software produces DVD RW that is less prone to error; say I back up 1000 files ( overidding all of them everyday from Hard disk to DVD RW & DVD RAM )

1) should I use Nero DVD burning ROM , multi session , should I choose the first option
dvd ( iso) or 2nd option dvd ..?

I think this UDF packet writing software produces errors in the longer run ?. 1) NERO InCD 4.0 drag-and-drop support

Honestly, I've had problems with both so many times I've given up on them.

InCD left me hanging many a time so I won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Caused major system instabilities, borked media and unreadable media (not a good thing to run across when you're trying to bring up a presentation you were working on at home). Times might have changed these days, someone else can comment on it.

Multisession was rarely able to be read by another drive other than the one the disc was burnt on.

I'd just burn it on a DVD data disc, rewritable media, finalize the disc to ensure greater compatibility. When you're done, erase the disc.

HI that means you goto DVD Burining ROM , choose finalise session ..

Should I choose the first option
dvd ( iso) or 2nd option dvd ..?

1) THAT MEANS THE safest for me to rewrite the 1000 files every time somethings are updated is to ERASE the disc and copy again ...( finalise session ) ?
