When I ask to customs agents they say the tax is higher because there is a penalty pay to compesate the amount of imports from there and because they are very cheap, so the economy may suffer if taxes were lower. Also we are invaded of China ilegal imports of any kind, when I bought the shoes I did'nt know that, now if I buy anything I ask the origig first.
Yeah Wal*Mart (also Sams club, Costco, etc) has china shoes and other things, but they haven't my size, sometimes they have, I'm a taller/bigger for the average, incredible is that I found shoes of my size made in Mexico but in the U.S. and other countries, they export them but they don't sell them here, sometimes I find my size from Brazil, Spain etc. The largest size of women shoes here is size 10 (US), rare ocations they have 11 and my rage is that our shoes are of very good quallity and China's don't
