That's outrageous! Micro$oft has every right to protect their own software by whatever means they want to, but for them to decide what other software you can install and run on your PC is just wrong. Who elected Micro$oft judge, jury and executioner of all the world's legal systems?!?
I pay for all my software anyway (call me a sucker if you wish), but I still strongly object to this plan by Micro$oft. I guess this is another lost skirmish in the battle over who actually owns your PC. Have they all forgotten that the "P" in PC stands for Personal, not "Property of Bill Gates"...

It is extremely high. In my MCSE class it was estimated to be 30-40% of windows copies are pirated.
