I agree that Seinfeld is very funny, but the man himself is NOT, he is only there to make the central point of the show, (beside the fact that the show is based on his "comedy routine") it's more the characters like Kramer, George and Elaine that realy made the show funny, and the main reasons which made them funny and friends NOT funny (to me) is the fact that their characters are not "blended", what I mean to say is that they are so unlike each other.
They are so different from one another that you need them all to make the show what it is, all of them have their obvious quirks and differences, and it was that factor that makes the show so much better. In friends they are more or less the same as each other, (up to a point) only slight differences between them, so what you end up with a show with six charaters which virtually all talk and act the same, three bimbos (is it just me or does Phoebe look like a human chuppa chup?
) and three plain guys, with Chandler playing the "strait" role
As to Raymond! arrrrrrgggggggghhhhh! I watch the show but I CAN'T stand him! I don't know what I hate more, the way he treats his poor wife (the ONLY thing that makes the show funny) and kids, or just that dopey look on his face? lol and I can't stand the rest of the family either, his parents are so f-ing aggravating that I would love to see an episode (like a fantasy or dream sequence) where Debra goes around with a baseball bat and just bludgens the whole lot of them to death! (not the kids) now THAT would be funny
