Need some help!

I am using windows xp w/ a sony laptop, and I am looking for a DVD encoder? What exactly, or where exactly can I find one of these. I looked all over on Sony's support page, but there was no luck. Everytime I try to run a DVD and watch on, it says I don't have a DVD Encoder installed. Could someone help me out!!!

You need a decoder to watch DVD movies. You'll need something like PowerDVD or WinDVD.

Yeah, but I have winDVD and it says the same thing
