I always make sure to turn off my web filter when visiting CDRLabs so that the ads display and help support the site. I also click on ads from time to time just to boost the click-through counters. And I even tried to go the whole way through the process and buy from a CDRLabs advertiser (Vonage - although I still haven't been able to get the first month free offer that was advertised). However, this ad is really, really annoying me:
It has javascript that activates a pop-up window whenever I (accidentally) pass the cursor over it on my way to clicking a "next", "reply", etc. link. I don't mind the other pop-ups so much since they only show up once per day, but this thing shows up every time it gets touched. Even worse, the pop-up presents a dialog that asks if I want to install their plugin, which I strongly suspect is spyware and/or browser hijack-ware. I'm afraid that one of these times I'm going to hit "OK" in my haste to dispose of the window, so if this ad keeps showing up I'm going to have to enable my filtering proxy again.
Can this particular ad be quashed or least tamed by eliminating the javascript?
