DVD Burning Question/Issue

I just reinstalled XP Pro and Nero 5.5.10.56 onto a new hard drive.

Now when I burn a DVD (using any burning program for that matter) it just takes forever to do the lead out. Even if only 12 megs. It writes the data fine I can see that....but the lead out takes forever. I remember hearing about this but forget where....any idea what I am missing here.

Had no problems with old HD....just have a setup issue here. Any ideas?

Try with DMA enabled and Disabled for your Hard Drive, in case it's not handling DMA properly.

If you go back to the hard drive you had previously, do you find the issue remains, or goes away?

The fact that this occurs with more than one Recording software is a very good indication of a hardware setting problem.
