Nero Burning Rom 6.3.16 Upgrade Burning Audio CD So Slow

Postby Shaman on Thu Mar 25, 2004 3:26 pm

After upgrading 6.3.03 to 6.3.16, burning audio CD with 52X LiteOn, after highlighting tracks and clicking on copy to compilation, the copy process is faster by 3 or 4 speeds. But when I click on the burn button to burn audio CD, disk at once with buffer underrun "on" the burn takes double the time, and seems to copy a track at a time never getting up in the high 40s or 50sX as it used to with the earlier version which took more time to copy to the compilation but burned the audio CD in one continuous burn starting in the 20s and finishing up in the 40s & 50sX. Nero Burning Rom isn't working the way it used to. Am I missing something? Have there been significant changes. Any suggestions? Appreciate any help. I also have Roxio installed but that has never been a problem with Nero. DMA settings correct. Nero working as usual until I upgraded. Am I the only one experiencing this marked change?

Have to say 6.3.1.6 has lost a lot of its snap. Definitely not as responsive as 6.3.0.3.

Thank you for your response. Thought perhaps my configuration turned my Ferrari into a Chevette (no offense intended to their owners). My experience with 6.3.16 is not that it's only lost snap, it's turned into the Arnold Stang of heavy weights. Although Arnold was hysterical at comedy, I am not finding the changes very funny. Doesn't make sense.
    Best to you.
