Looks like we had a change of mind, or they did not understand my question when I asked if we were going to stop posting new versions of Nero 5.5 on our website. :D

Either way, I'm also glad to see they are continuing to add new model recorders for Nero 5.5 and posting the versions on our website.

And that is all this version is. It only adds support for new model recorders.

I do not expect any continued support for bugfixes on Nero 5.5, but I'm sure you can all understand my hesitation in actually saying they will definately not provide and post any new bug fixes for Nero 5.5 :-?

Regards,

Craig

Thanks for the clarification Craig. But as you see the file size of new Nero 5.5.10.56 is massive 18.72 MB.Before this the file size hardly touched 13 MB.So I guess that there are changes/bug fixes in the new version.I have not yet installed it.But I guess that there are changes other than increasing the recorder database.

This is not an update. It is a completely new installer. It will delete your already installed files and you have to enter a serial. Other updates did not do this....any idea why this is different?

The last version has dvd burning support and many more before it.

Been using 55 10 54 for months with my Optorite DDO203 dvd burner.
I mostly use dvd+r but I have also used the HDBurn function ... works well.
The more I figure out, the more I realize how little I know.

Dear yamawho,
Hi.As you use the HD-BURN feature I would like to know if you can read back each and every disc you have burnt with HD-BURN.I myself think that HD-BURN is really good, but some guys here said that they cant read back the discs written with HD-BURN.
