LG DRD-8160B DVD-ROM What formats does this support??

I recently burned a DVD-R, and it plays on a standalone RCA dvd player, plays on a cheap no name dvd player, plays on the DVD writer, but my dvd reader doesn't seem to recognize it.
Does my DVD-ROM not read DVD-R??

According to Ian's review of this drive ( http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=78 ), it "Had some problems reading DVD-R/RW media."
