She is not South African, she has never been there, probably never will either, she is not african, she is not anything related to Africa. Lemme start by correcting aviationwiz about his own nationality. You are american! You are NOT South African! You dad is south afican...that IT! You never LIVED in south africa. You can NOT be proudly south afican. That being said, amerika is clearly the leading terrorist state. We were condemned by the world court for terrorism in 1986. Shortly after this we vetoed a UN resolution calling on all states (meaning us) to fallow international law. 9/11 is our fault, not justified, but our fault. We support israel which is clearly violating international law in its occupation of palistinian land. Israel is further breaking international law by incurring into more palistinian land with the building of its "security" fence. America does NOT have a good civil rights record either but I won't go into that here. Now on to south africa. South Africa has serious problems with the way it has handled HIV/AIDS. The current president of south africa, Thabo Mbeki, is on record saying that HIV has no relationship with AIDS. In fact, the very definition of AIDS requires that the patient have HIV. South Africa has also been an extremly racist state in the past. Much more than the united states at least after slavery. I can not speak to the rest of JamieW's comments as I have not heard them before. I will say however that there are people there with such screwed up perceptions of AIDS that some of it may in fact be true. I do not know this however so I can not really pass judgement there.

I do not agree with Mr. Mbeki's views either. Although I think JamieW when she called South Africa a "crap hole of a country" did not even think of Mr. Mbeki. In fact, I wouldn't be too sure JamieW even knew who Mr. Mbeki is.

Hoooboy, something got stirred up here. Well, aviation, couple of things you are dead wrong on:

1) I have a peepee. Might want to not assume.

2) I have been to Africa. Check #1.

3) The appropriate response to 9/11 was to invade Afghanistan. While conducted by individuals, if you are going to rest your case on this, you have defeated yourself. It was conducted by a group with financial and security backing from the Afghanistan government. The line was drawn in the sand: give us these people or we are coming in. The problem with fighting terrorists is that they have no country per se. However, it does not mean they are not assisted greatly by that country.

Were we to say "oh, it's individuals" then you simply could not condemn America for the choices of its leaders as they are individuals. The soldiers are also individuals. See? Self-defeating.

America's slavery is simply recent. It is by no means the greatest instance of slavery ever. But let's not forget that in your country, the tribesmen were capturing and selling their fellow countrymen. While slavery is wrong, it is not as if America is the only country ever to do it. You could condem most of the modern world for slavery if that is your foundation.

On to Iraq. I don't support Iraq, but I do see justice in it. I further do not support the President providing a red herring so that the people of this country would get behind it. However, it does not mean Iraq did not require liberation from Saddam. Are you actually going to tell me that he was good to his people? How many thousands of Kurds did he kill? What was the quality of life of his people? The whole situation in that country was atrocious and realistically should have been done years ago.

What is palestinian land? Palestine was never a sovereign state. Ever. It is a group of people that the Arab world has suddenly backed in an effort to push the Jews into the ocean. Saudi Arabia is something like 30 times the size of Israel but I don't see them offering to give up any of their land. Palestine is a pawn in this situation vs Israel and the Arab world.

nothing on cia.gov is going to be true as its controlled by the amerikan gov. By palistian land i mean palistian controlled land, i should have been more clear. But the fact is the resolution called on israel to withdraw from that land. The fence incurs into that land...thats all im saying.

Requests the Secretary General to designate a Special Representative to proceed to the Middle East to establish and maintain contacts with the States concerned in order to promote agreement and assist efforts to achieve a peaceful and accepted settlement in accordance with the provisions and principles in this resolution;

4. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Security Council on the progress of the efforts of the Special Representative as soon as possible.
