I was just noticing how many blank CD-R's I have so I began wondering how many blanks other members have sitting around. Estimates will suffice.
I would have to say 301-600 Actual number is probably around 500.

I have 7 unopened Fuji 48x 50-Packs that I have picked up over the last few months from various Fuji sales. That's not counting the 2 spindles me and my bro are using, so that's atleast 400 Blank TY CD's in my home.

I'm buying small quantities for now, but when I get a job again I'm going to save up to buy a couple thousand from Ritek directly. I can go through about 100 a month easily when I want to, right now I'm using about 25 a month or so. I only have about 140 pieces right now and I'm feeling rather low on stock!

Lets see:
100 Fuji 48x
~50 Verbatium 48x SuperAZO

~20 Memorex 4x DVD+R
50 TDK 4x DVD+R

Those are the last CD-R's I'll ever buy, and I can't see burning more than 4-5 for the rest of the year. I'll probably give 'em to a friend. Go DVD!

My supply has decreased significantly. I have about 400 now, but six months ago I had over 1000...I guess that's half a stockpile. :P

I kept hearing reports here and on several CD-R websites that prices were going to go up so I stockpiled like crazy last year, mostly TY made CD-Rs by Fuji, TDK and Memorex.

Me too, BillyG, but prices haven't really gone up, from what I've seen. Maybe they have because the amount of rebate deals with CD-R media have gone down, perhaps that means the price of CD-R's is increasing, but it could also mean that DVD is taking over, thus the consumers aren't interested in CD-R much anymore, and the retailers know this. I don't know.

I think DVD will take over sales from CD-R's by Xmas of this year, once people figure out all the differences in DVD-Rom Types (im confused too).

I haven't bought any CD/DVD media for months though I still have many CD/DVD writers. Perhaps I will buy again if I can get 4x DVD+RW at something like US$1.5 per disc. I don't know how many DVD media I'm going to consume by the dawn of AOD/Blu-ray/who knows what more.

I use mainly DVD-/+R media now (I used to burn a lot of CD-Rs), but I still have about 800 (? haven't counted them in a while) blank CD-Rs from a while ago.
Most were very cheap due to rebates, special sales, coupons etc.
Burners only:
Pioneer DVR-115D
Pioneer DVR-111D

Plextor PX-716A same TLA
