Plextor Shows Off 6Gbs SATA SSDs At Computex

Postby Ian on Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:18 pm

Plextor has a number of new high performance SSDs on the way. The PX-256M2S (256GB), PX-128M2S (128GB) and the PX-64M2S (64GB) utilize an 8-channel Marvell controller with 128MB DDR3 cache. The drives' SATA 6Gbps interface provides sequential read speeds up to 380-400 MB/s and write speeds of 180-200 MB/s. Unlike their current SSDs, these will also support TRIM as well as a Toggle mode and ONFi 2.1. Here are some pictures courtesy of SemiAccurate and Nordichardware.
