Plextor 12x DVD drive @ BB for $159 OTD!

Was at Best Buy the other night, for some reason the Plextor 12x DVD burners are marked @ $159 (no rebate) I asked 2 dudes working there if this was the correct price, both said "yes"

it's cheaper then the 8x, and it's cheaper then even the prices I see online. Anyone know what gives here?

they model the carry isn't the black face one. I've never seen the drive outside of pics, the face is kinda silverish right?

seems like one hellova deal, dunno if this is a nationwide thing tho. Anyone else seen this deal at a BB around them? the web site is showing it as 199 I believe.

Wow! Nice spot. Website is showing it at $190 now. I remember the website a few weeks ago had it at $160, but it's interesting to hear that your store has it at $160, I wonder if others do.

I can confirm this at the store in Harwood Heights IL (Chicago suburb), at least the shelf tag. Due to a 9% tax rate, Newegg is cheaper at 166 with free shipping.
Their tax is higher than the rest of Illinois, so I ain't buying
