Which burning software are you using? I've tried using various burning software for ripping audio CD's and the 112D drive doesn't recognize at all! Sadly, I can only burn using Windows media player right now.

Anyone else having an issue with recognition of the drive? (I'm using firmware 1.21)

I have a 212D (SATA version), but have had success with Nero, ImgBurn, CDRWIN, ONES, VSO CopyToDVD... You may want to try this from Microsoft KB article 314060.

Hello

I've been looking at getting a Pioneer burner

There seems to be two types available from my retailer - 112 and 112D

What are the differences?

Edit:

I think I've found out

112 - DVD-RAM read and write

112D - DVD-RAM read only

Yep - you answered your own question. The "D" version is the only one sold in the U.S.A (not sure if it is more specific to North America).
