Pioneer DVR-106D Help...

Just picked up a Pioneer DVR-106D OEM from Mwave.com. It came in a bag packed with PowerDVD 5/Nero 6. Is there anything i should now before i start using it? Tips and suggestions are greatly welcomed. Also, does Pioneer have a seperate website for firmware updates for their DVD-+RW drives? Thanks in advance! :D


P.S. I will be using this drive mainly for data backups/mp3 backups. I will probably dable into trying to backup a dvd too see how it works so programs and utilities u guys think i should look at are welcome. Suggestions for media brands and websites to purchase them from also welcomed. Thanks :D

Can someone atleast direct me to where i can grab the latest firmware for this dvd+-rw burner? And a quick rundown of how to go about updating it. Thanks
