picture problems

hi,i've used Nero to burn some dvd's,one problem though. when the disc is done,i put it in my dvd player,and the picture,well. it's widescreen format,so i would expect the black bars at the top and bottom,but they are also on the sides. so basically,it's making the picture about the size of my computer moniter (17 inch) it's kind of annoying while trying to watch on a 32 inch tv. can anyone help me out here? thank you.

Open up Nero Vision and bring your files in through "Add Files."
After it Process your files and you click through where it gives you the preview,
look to the bottom for "More",
open that up and look for icon "Video Options" and click,
look at the tab at the top and select "DVD-Video",
you'll see the options: 4:3, 16:9 and Automatic;
select the one that you want (I leave mine on automatic).

It should encode the movie the way that you want it.

If that doesn't work check the settings in your DVD player and/or TV.
