Norcent 4x DVD+R/RW Drive

Postby Ian on Sat Sep 20, 2003 8:46 pm

Just a quick heads up. Someone posted a few days ago that Norcent's new 52/32/52 CD-RW was actually an LTR-52327S. Well their new 4x DVD+R/RW is actually a Lite-On LDW-401S.

Sweet, any news on whether or not Best Buy is carrying this?

Yeah, BB is where I saw it. The drive on the box looked like the LDW-401S so I busted it open to make sure.

How much? Less than the $154 at Wal-Mart?

I think it was $149. Thats still more expensive than online, but you know that BB will have it on sale.

I just picked this drive (Norcent DW412) up at BB for $149 with a $20 MIR. I am glad to hear that it is a Lite On, though. I wasn't sure when I bought it. But I knew that I could come here and find out some good information on it. :)

The Lite-On P/N is printed right on the drive: LDW-401S.
