I have a new samsung CD RW 240B, this CDRW are supposed to record at 40x, but when I check the speed record at the Easy Cd creator Software, the speed goes from 10x to 20-25 x, it never goes to 40x.

OK, I've got a Lite On 48x12x48x CD-RW (48125W), with Nero 5.5.9.17.
For the write method Nero shows three things: Track At Once, Disc At Once,
and Disc At Once/96.

What the heck is Disc At Once/96??

And is anyone else having problems with the Fuji Film 48x CD-Rs? The burn speed on my drive always drops off right at the end of the disc, and CDSpeed's scandisk is showing quite a few damaged blocks ...

I have a Dell XPS P133c - 512 pipeline burst cache, 4GIG HD (max the box will take) running Windows 95 - will have 128MB RAM once I install the new cards; currently it's 80MB.

Due to suggestions a Lite-on firmware would work I flashed my drive. I tried to back it up with Mtkflash and it appeared to work. However, I only have a small flash file and it doesn't work when I flash it. Therefore I'm unable to return it to it's initial state :cry:
