is the new Iomega super drive just an OEM of the LG GMA-4040B?
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

Not too impressed. DVD-RAM is nice I guess but the speeds aren't where I hoped they would be.

Sounds kinda neat to me... and it looks like a Ricoh drive..? With the eject button...

I already have a DRU500, so there's not really any reason for me to jump, but I do like the idea of 9.4GB DVD-RAM discs for backup!
