I've recorded some vhs movies to dvd which have pops in the hifi audio track. I wanted to clean up the audio, so I separated the ac3 audio from the dvd video, converted the ac3 to wave, highlighted the whole audio track to declick (about 90 minutes) in Nero Wave Editor 2. Usually declicking works fine when highlighting specific spots (and crossfading the start/end points to prevent new clicks), but I noticed it's adding clicks to these soundtracks - sometimes right after a spot where it declicked properly. It's not at the start/end points, so it's not a crossfade issue. Is this a known issue with that version of Wave Editor? Any ideas how to make it work properly? I don't want to examine the whole audio track to make individual fixes.
I wouldn't think this should matter, but the wav is at 48 khz rather than 44 khz.
