I have tried a full erase and nero still says there isn't enough space on the disk. It does recognize it as a dvd+rw.

How much data are you trying to burn? Remember, even though they say it's 4.7GB, it's really 4.38GB.

I used dvd shrink3. Data amount is 4.37. I've tried over and over double checking everything and I'm convinced it is a shitty program. I'm so sick of Nero making coasters.

Yeah, I hear that. I hate Nero. I've wasted way too many discs with that program.

Right now, I use CopyToDVD (and have been for awhile).

You can try CDBurnerXP Pro (http://www.cdburnerxp.se/), it's free, and works.

Set your compression rate in DVD Shrink from automatic to let say %96 and start burning you would notice Nero will go along.
