Actually, RecordNow Max supports up to 64 drives, as per
RecordNow MAX 4.5 Feature Details.
This is the same basic engine that was used in the former Prassi Primo CD Pro64, which if memory serves used to sell for close to a thousand dollars.
Now for the bad news. Ever since Veritas purchased Prassi, their support for the PX Engine Updates has gradually faded. The updates have recently disappeared altogether from the Veritas site. The last update was released about Oct. 2002 and does not cover some of the latest burners.
Veritas seems to have a knack for neglecting formerly very good products, and in effect, dooming them. It seems that they are now treating the former Prassi line (RecordNow Max, et al) as no longer supported legacy products.
