Nero Info tool 2.27 error

I started getting this error massage after upgrading the firmware on a liteOn 1633S to BS41. Any idea what's causing this and more importantly how do I fix it. Thanks.

When exactly does this error message come up?


If you do not have the Recorder connected to the system, do you still see this error message when you attempt to launch Nero InfoTool?

The error message comes up when infotool is scanning for hard drives, DVD writers etc. All the DVD writers are IDE, so I've not tried disconnecting them before launching Nero infotool. After I get the error message I can chose close or cancel and the program launches as if nothing is wrong. I have even tried uninstalling everything and using the clean tool, but I keep getting the same error message. Any thoughts? Thanks.
