Nero & file names longer than 64...

Postby Traveller on Sat Dec 13, 2003 7:54 am

Hi2all :)

Is there a combination of settings in Nero 5.x that will allow one to burn files wih names > 64 characters in length?

My MP3 ripping SW tends to list album first and song-title last: you can imagine how silly my backup copies look like after the mp3 file names are truncated at the 64-char mark by Nero (using std ISO/Jolliet CD/DVD settings).

Thx for any info :D

no.

for more than 64 chars you need another program.

Alternatives:
1. Use different ripping software (CDex will make a folder for the artist and cd title, then name songs like 01 - Track1.mp3)

2. If you're just making backups that you're not going to play off of the CD, use something like WinRAR or WinZIP...
Soon to be proud user of Mandrake 10 (again!). SuSE 9 sucks!
