Hm. You are creating new threads with similar subjects.

I don't think there's an overall clear winner in DVD-ROM reader drives. Most of the latest DVD-ROM drives from Pioneer, Toshiba, LiteOn, LG, Samsung, and many others are all good and not much different from one another.

For me, Samsung's new SM-348B seems the best solution but too expensive yet. Meanwhile, my SM-308B (another CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo) does all I really need for now.
